Dr. Rachel Temkin is a graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine located in Columbus, Ohio and she has been practicing since 2004. Her experience includes several years of emergency work at local veterinary emergency hospitals here in Tucson.

Dr. Temkin graduated Magna cum laude with a BA in Anthropology and minors in Biology and Spanish from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. While attending The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine she volunteered with the Remote Area Medical Service immunizing, neutering, and spaying cats and dogs under the supervision of her veterinary mentor. She also volunteered with Amigos de las Americas which promotes health and community sanitation programs in Oaxaca, Mexico as well as constructed gardens and nutritional programs in Paraguay.

She joined Sahuaro Vista Veterinary Clinic in 2011. She enjoys the relationships formed with the patient and clients here. The high-quality medicine and surgery practiced here ensures the care provided is excellent. Dr. Temkin states that she loves spending her free time with her husband and sons. They enjoy spending time in the pool during the hot summers and traveling to exotic places.
